The Toronto Academy of Dentistry's Ski for Kids event was held on February 11, 2011 at the Alpine Ski Club in Collingwood. The event was extremely successful on many levels. Over 170 participants came out to ski or socialize. The weather was perfect and the ski conditions were great. Best of all, we raised over $23,000 for the Sick Kids Foundation.

Cleft Lip and Palate is one of the most common congenital anomalies in children, affecting one in 700 births. The Hospital for Sick Children's Cleft Lip and Palate Program is recognized world-wide for providing excellence in Cleft Care. With the largest program in North America, they see approximately 120 newborns per year and treat 3,500 children in their clinics. Last year, $19,000 was raised from Ski for Kids to support research impacting children born with Cleft Lip and Palate.
